A warm welcome to all ISPPD's members. You must have received the first issue of our Indian society of Pedodontic and Preventive Dentistry's esteemed journal after I took over as the Editor. I am glad to inform you that in spite of so many teething problems viz. shifting of administrative office and editorial office and consulting with all concerned officials, we have tried our level best to maintain best journal standards. We will be happy to receive any suggestions/clarifications from our end gracefully.
I am happy to inform you that I have been nominated as a senate member of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka, by the Chancellor in consultation with Vice Chancellor as one among six persons having special interest in health sciences with university notification no. UA/sen/05/2009.10 dated 30/05/2009 for the period of 3 years from 12/06/2009.
You all must be aware that recently we have attended Global Child Dental Health Task Force/India project at Delhi on April 19, 2009. In future, we will be happy to take any projects related to global child dental health from our esteemed association.
Recently, the 6th national PG convention hosted by Narayana Dental College and Hospital, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, was heartily attended by more than 350 delegates including post-graduate students who learnt, shared, and discussed the subject on both the days with good speakers who spoke on trauma related to Pediatric dentistry and behavior management followed by panel discussion to which specialists from the field of psychiatry were invited. A quiz competition was also conducted. The executive committee meeting of ISPPD was also held during the convention.
The 7th national Post-Graduate convention will be held in the Lake City of Udaipur for the year 2010, which will be hosted by Pacific Dental College and Hospital, Udaipur, Rajasthan. The dates of the Post-Graduate convention will be intimated to all of you by the local organizing committee. We have tried to reach this journal to all, in case of change of address kindly inform.
